Alle reden von „Fehlerkultur“. Als wären Fehler automatisch Schritte zum Erfolg. Aber die Wahrheit ist: Fehler per se bringen uns nicht weiter! Im Gegenteil: Es gibt Fehler, die wünschten wir, nie gemacht zu haben. Sie waren teuer, zerstörerisch oder einfach nur peinlich. Manche haben Karrieren gekostet, Freundschaften ruiniert, Familien erschüttert. Im Rohzustand sind sie wie Erdöl: von hohem potentiellem Wert, aber extrem schwer nutzbar und sogar gefährlich (explosiv, giftig, verschmutzend). Die Versuchung ist groß, unsere Fehler zu übertünchen und womöglich noch so zu tun, als würden wir ihre Auswirkungen nicht registrieren. Darauf zu warten, dass sie sich von selbst in etwas Positives verwandeln, ist naiv, denn Fehler, die wir nicht einem Prozess der Raffinerie unterziehen, bleiben wie Rohöl: Sie verseuchen die Zukunft.

Dank den alten Meistern, die Capoeira von Generation zu Generation bewahrt haben, hat dieser Kampftanz den Zeiten widerstanden und wird in über hundert Ländern, unabhängig von Alter, Geschlecht, Religion und sozialer Schicht trainiert. So trägt Capoeira heute zur Entwicklung wichtiger gesellschaftlicher und sozialer Werte, wie Diversität, Toleranz, Respekt und Verantwortung bei. Im Jahr 2014 wurde die Bedeutung der Capoeira auch von der UNESCO anerkannt, als sie in die Liste des immateriellen Kulturerbes aufgenommen wurde.

Markus Tomaschitz ist seit 2015 Vice President Corporate HR und wurde 2021 zum Chief Human Resources Officer und Unternehmenssprecher von AVL berufen. Er studierte Betriebswirtschaftslehre an der Karl-Franzens-Universität Graz und absolvierte seinen MBA an der California State University. Danach durchlief er unterschiedliche Stationen in der Industrie und war unter anderem Geschäftsführer der FH JOANNEUM GmbH, Executive Director bei der Magna Education and Research GmbH sowie Mitglied des europäischen Vorstands der Magna International Europe AG. Neben seiner Rolle in der AVL ist Markus Tomaschitz auch Vorsitzender des Aufsichtsrates der Fachhochschule JOANNEUM.

As organiser I will not be part of the live line up but record my idea worth spreading ahead of the event. I will talk about the importance and the power of success stories of a future to still be built. Storytelling is one of the assets to be experienced hence. The audience will witness a dialogue from 2065. Anna and her grandmother, a leadership and future skills expert exchange on human development of the last 40 years. Together they look back in to the 2020ies when the knowledge of how humans tick was a scarce resource and thus called future skills. With their examples and stories, the audience will be able to access a vision of a successful societal, environmental and digital transformation and realise which kind of decisions could be taken now so we can shape tomorrow. Spoiler: Human emotional future skills play a vital role in this development.
